Relating classroom instruction will be part of this course of study.  Meets Academic Expectations 1,2,3,4 & 5

MACHINE TOOL TECHNOLOGY 3 (3 per day)  E#C480501 mmc           9431 Honors/9432 College Prep 15cr

Prerequisite: Machine Tool Technology 2--Others with the approval of Career & Technical Education Director

In a laboratory setting Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) explores metal machining using computers to run machining tools. Emphasis is placed on programming language and geometry as it relates to the cutting process of Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machining. Computer simulations are performed and parts are actually manufactured. This course introduces integration with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) with (CAM). This course will prepare students to become a skilled machinist, a junior level manufacturing engineer, or technician in an industrial environment. Cooperative placement for qualified seniors will satisfy course requirements.  *Students maintaining a “B” average in specific course work in this program will be eligible for college credit.  Meets Academic Expectations 1,2,3,4 & 5
