Massachusetts Anti-Idling Law & School Bus Idling Reduction

The Massachusetts Anti-Idling Law (M.G.L. Chapter 90, Sections 16A & 16B) and MassDEP regulations (310 CMR 7.11 (a)(b) limit vehicle idling to no more than five minutes. A vehicle may idle longer provided it is necessary to operate accessories such as power lifts, refrigeration, etc.
