MCAS Information

MCAS is an acronym for Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System.  Students in Massachusetts are tested in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science starting in grade 3.
The state has begun the transition to computer-based testing. For 2019, all Chicopee students participating in MCAS will take the ELA and Math assessment using a computer.  Students in grades 5 and 8 will also take the Science MCAS digitally, but the high school Science tests will remain paper-based for this year.  High School Retests will also remain paper-based for 2018-2019.
