The Chicopee School Food Service Department consists of a staff of over 100 full and part-time employees, located at 15 sites throughout the city. Our staff serves over 100,000 nutritious meals per month. We could be considered the largest restaurant in the city of Chicopee.
It is our mission to provide every student in the district with access to locally sourced, nutritious meals. We are committed to the health of our students and passionate about supporting the local food economy. We now have a full time Farm to School Coordinator and work closely with local farmers throughout the region. For more information about our farm to school program, visit www.chicopeefresh.com.
We serve breakfast and lunch daily. Our high schools also offer full deli, pasta and salad bars. Milk is included with every lunch, and additional cartons can be purchased at all schools for $0.50.
Senior meals are sponsored by WestMass ElderCare and are offered at four of our school sites:
Stefanik Elementary, 720 Meadow Street, 1:00 - 1:15 pm
Fairview Elementary, 26 Memorial Ave, 12:45 - 1:00 pm
Lambert-Lavoie Elementary, 99 Kendall St, 10:45 - 11:00 am
Bowe Elementary, 115 Hampden St, 10:45 - 11:00 am
We also have a new online payment system. The Nutrikids system will allow you to have improved access to your child's school lunch account. To access your child's account go to www.myschoolbucks.com. You will need to enter your child's school name and ID number. Unfortunately, this is not available for students at Chicopee Academy or Szetela Early Childhood School.
**All schools now qualify for free breakfast and lunch under the USDA Community Eligibility Program. We are very fortunate to qualify for this program and pledge to continue to provide high quality nutritious food to Chicopee students.**
